Welcome to Shift. By using our app, you agree to the following terms:
- Users must be 18+ and provide accurate information.
- Job seekers and employers are responsible for the information they post.
- Shift facilitates connections but does not guarantee employment or job performance.
- Payments, hours, and job expectations are to be agreed upon between both parties.
- Any misuse of the platform (fraud, harassment, etc.) will result in suspension or removal.
- Shift is not liable for work disputes, injuries, or legal issues arising outside the app.

Comanies
By accessing or using the Shift platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms:
1. Account administration
Each company account must have a designated admin responsible for managing the account.
To change the admin, please email [email protected].
2. Account requirements
Accurate information: you must provide true, current, and complete information about your company, job postings, and contact details. All job descriptions, requirements, and interview information must be accurate and up-to-date.
Single account policy: each company is permitted only one active account on the platform. Multiple accounts for the same company are prohibited.
3. Job posting guidelines & fair use
Job postings must be responsible, truthful, and comply with platform rules.
Misuse of the platform may result in account restrictions or termination. Examples of misuse include, but are not limited to:
• listing a business entity as an “event”
• using instant hire for roles requiring interviews
• posting misleading or inaccurate job descriptions
4. Candidate engagement & privacy
Respond promptly to applications and interview requests.
Candidate information must be used solely for recruitment and hiring purposes. Sharing candidate data outside the Shift platform is strictly prohibited.
5. Professional conduct
All communications with candidates must be respectful and professional.
Discrimination, harassment, or any unprofessional behavior will result in account penalties, including possible suspension or termination.
6. Activity score
Shift tracks engagement through an activity score based on login frequency, responsiveness, and updates to job postings.
Higher activity scores enhance your visibility to job seekers on the platform.
7. Full-time hiring
While Shift is primarily intended for part-time or temporary hiring, you may choose to hire a candidate full-time.
You must notify Shift of any full-time hire, and a one-time full-time hiring fee of OMR 50 will apply for each candidate hired full-time via the platform.
8. Limitation of liability
Shift serves only as a platform to connect employers and job seekers.
Shift is not responsible for any disputes, disagreements, or transactions between companies and candidates.
By using Shift, you agree that Shift cannot be held liable or involved in any legal matters arising from interactions, agreements, or conflicts between users on the platform.

Job Seekers
Seeker Terms and conditions By using Shift, you agree to the following terms:
1. Platform Purpose
Shift is primarily a part-time job platform designed to connect job seekers with flexible work opportunities. Occasionally, you may receive offers for full-time positions through the platform.
2. Accurate Information
Provide honest, up-to-date details in your profile, video, and availability.
False information may result in strikes or account suspension.
3. Professional Conduct
Be punctual and professional in all interactions with employers.
Missing interviews or shifts without notice may result in a strike.
Repeated violations can lead to suspension or permanent account deactivation.
4. Strike System & Policy
What is a Strike?
A strike is a warning issued when a job seeker violates Shift rules. Strikes help maintain professionalism and reliability on the platform. Accumulating strikes may lead to temporary suspension or permanent removal from Shift.
When You May Receive a Strike:
• Not showing up to scheduled interviews or jobs
• Providing false or misleading information
• Misusing platform features
Strike Policy for Unreported Absences:
1 Strike: You miss a job or interview without notifying both the company and Shift.
2 Strikes: Your account is suspended from Shift for 30 days.
3 Strikes: Your account is permanently removed from the platform.
Emergencies:
We understand that emergencies can happen. If you cannot attend a scheduled job or interview, you must:
• Notify the company via in-app messaging
• Contact Shift through emergency support as soon as possible
Following these steps may prevent a strike from being issued.
5. Activity & Engagement
Your activity score reflects engagement on the platform, including:
• Login frequency
• Attendance at interviews or jobs
• Responsiveness to job invitations
A higher activity score improves your chances of being hired.
6. Frequent Login Requirement
If you do not log in for 5 consecutive days, your profile will automatically appear as “Busy” to employers.
Regular login is required to keep your account active and visible.
7. Respect Employers
Always communicate professionally with companies.
Harassment, discrimination, or unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated.
8. One Account Per Person
Each job seeker is allowed only one account.
Multiple accounts may result in removal of all accounts.
9. Use of Platform Features
All features, including applications, interviews, and messaging, must be used as intended.
Misuse may result in strikes or account suspension.
10. Limitation of Liability
Shift acts solely as a platform to connect job seekers with employers.
Shift is not responsible for disputes, conflicts, or transactions between job seekers and employers.
By using Shift, you agree that Shift cannot be held liable or involved in any legal matters arising from interactions, agreements, or conflicts on the platform.
